Shameless Crowdsourcing
Some housekeeping first: You might notice that things look a little different here. After listening to some reader feedback (no, not just this guy!), we decided to make some changes with the layout. Elaine found a flashy new Tumblr theme in the Theme Garden (yay!), with a side column with thumbnails and links to her Etsy store. And, yes, there are now Disqus comments. We’re using the same commenting policy as on the Elaine Santore blog, so please behave yourselves.
There’s also a link for Tumblr users to submit photos, text posts, videos, links, and quotes, which can also be sent via email at 2Girls1Queen@Tumblr.com. At the moment, Elaine is the only person updating the site, and with Aimee abroad for the next month, it will be difficult for Elaine to cover events on a regular basis while looking for a job (feathers and false eyelashes do NOT pay for themselves, y’all). So we’re gonna need a little help from our friends, which includes YOU.
Your first opportunity to shine will be at the Outside Lands Festival this weekend. Elaine will be covering the event for 2 Girls, 1 Queen with special guest writer/photographer Julie McCollough. But we would love to get reader submissions as well, because two people cannot possibly cover the entire festival on their own.
